The Certified Tile Installer (CTI) program is a comprehensive testing of the skills and knowledge of experienced tile installers which includes a multiple-choice exam and a hands-on test. Both are based on current industry standards and best practices for producing a sound installation. This class is for attendees who have completed Part 1 of the Innovation Workshop program and have a solid understanding of the fundamentals*.
Some time will be spent reviewing key concepts, but an in-depth focus will be placed on new applications as well as those not fully explored in Part 1.* You must attend Innovation Workshop Part 1 before registering for Part 2.
How To Install Schluter Systems
In light of the COVID-19 outbreak, FGIA staff has developed guidelines for a new virtual training program that will allow instructors to hold installer training classes remotely. This interim virtual class training option is being extended to qualified, currently accredited InstallationMasters instructors. This training option is only available for a limited time and the expiration for virtual classes will be communicated as the national situation with COVID-19 continues to develop.
InstallationMasters®, prompted by the Building Environment and Thermal Envelope Council (BETEC) through the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is a Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA) Program, developed by the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA). This is a nationwide training and certification program for new construction and replacement installers of windows and exterior glass doors in residential and light commercial markets.
Completion of the installer training program and successful passing of the exam allows participants to earn the InstallationMasters Identification Card, which shows they are officially certified through the InstallationMasters Program.
